BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Raymond Garrett is a devoted man of God, a committed husband, and a loving father. He has been joyfully married to his wife, Mrs. Juanita Garrett, for 27 years, and together they cherish their daughter, Destiny. His life and ministry reflect an unwavering dedication to faith, family, and service to others.
For the past 20 years, Dr. Garrett has faithfully served as Pastor of Greater Love Metropolitan Worship Center, leading with vision, compassion, and a heart for community impact. His leadership and service have been recognized with numerous awards honoring both his ministry accomplishments and his extensive community outreach.
In addition to his pastoral role, Dr. Garrett serves as Director of Chaplaincy & Bereavement Services for a national hospice organization, providing spiritual care and emotional support to patients and families in their most vulnerable moments. He also operates a consultancy and private practice, where he serves as a Board Certified Chaplain, Board Certified Counselor, Certified Grief Counselor, and Clinical Pastoral Supervisor. His expertise is further extended through his work as District Chaplain for a federal agency under the U.S. Department of Justice.
Dr. Garrett’s professional background is diverse and impactful. He spent 21 years working in public health and regulatory compliance and dedicated 15 years as a volunteer law enforcement chaplain for both federal and local agencies. His ministry and service experience are enriched by his training in Trauma Response, Critical Incident Care, and Conflict Resolution.
Academically, Dr. Garrett is highly accomplished. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management, a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling, a Master of Arts in Ministry, and a Doctor of Ministry. He completed his graduate internship and Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) in Clinical Pastoral Counseling and Chaplaincy, equipping him with both theological depth and practical skill in ministering to people during life’s most difficult seasons.
Whether serving from the pulpit, ministering in hospitals, guiding individuals through grief, or supporting law enforcement officers in times of crisis, Dr. Garrett remains committed to his mission: to reflect the love of Christ, equip others for life and ministry, and build bridges of hope and healing in every community he serves.
