BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Charles Travis has dedicated over 60 years to full-time Christian service, impacting lives and shaping ministries across the globe. A visionary leader, he is the co-founder—along with Dr. Jack Kelly—of the American Chaplains Association, and the Founder and President of Logos Global Network of Christian Ministries, Inc. (lgnfamily.com), an international fellowship headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida.
In the field of Christian higher education, Dr. Travis serves as President of Aidan University (aidanu.education) and Universidad Cristiana Logos (universidadcristianalogos.com). His leadership also extends into ecclesiastical ministry as the Presiding Bishop for The Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches and Archbishop for the Apostolate of St. Chad (theceec.org).
Dr. Travis is a highly educated scholar and ministry strategist, holding multiple academic degrees: a Bachelor of Theology from Chicago Bible College, a Bachelor of Arts from Christian Life College, a Master of Religious Education and a Master of Arts from Florida Beacon College, a Doctor of Ministry from Covenant Life Seminary, and a Doctorate in Educational Administration from Whitefield Graduate School.
Throughout his ministry career, Dr. Travis has served as pastor, evangelist, teacher, and missionary, as well as a lobbyist for Christian schools in Washington, D.C. He continues to serve on several national and international educational boards, consulting councils, ecclesiastical councils, and accrediting associations. His pioneering work in Christian education and church planting has resulted in the founding of schools and churches in more than 30 nations.
A passionate advocate for the priesthood of all believers, Dr. Travis firmly believes that every believer is a minister and that every minister should have a ministry—whether within the church, in the marketplace, or in the public square. His ministry is also marked by a deep commitment to fostering unity in the Body of Christ.
Dr. Travis resides in Jacksonville, Florida, with his wife, Deborah. They are the proud parents of two grown daughters, Sara and Erin.
