KENNETH STRAUGHTER

BIOGRAPHY

Brother Kenneth “Sarge” Straughter is a man whose life is marked by unwavering faith, steadfast service, and a deep compassion for others. For 32 years, he has shared a strong and enduring marriage with his wife, Natalie, a retired educator whose dedication to teaching has shaped countless lives. Together, they have raised four children and are blessed with four grandchildren, who are the joy of their lives.

 

Brother Straughter is a proud veteran, having served 12 years in the United States Army and Army Reserve, where he developed the discipline, leadership, and commitment to excellence that would carry through every chapter of his life.

 

Following his military service, he dedicated 37 years to the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia, retiring at the rank of Captain and serving as Assistant Jail Commander. In this role, he was recognized for his integrity, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to the community. His outstanding service was honored in 2018 when he was named Georgia Officer of the Year by the Georgia American Legion—one of many awards he has received throughout his career for community service and law enforcement excellence.

Today, Brother Straughter continues his life of service as the CEO of The Attentive Ear of Georgia, where he provides both pre-marriage and post-marriage counseling to couples. His work is driven by a passion for strengthening relationships, fostering communication, and helping couples build marriages that stand the test of time.

 

Academically, Brother Straughter earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia Southern University, combining his formal education with decades of hands-on leadership experience.

 

Whether serving his country, protecting his community, or guiding couples toward healthier relationships, Brother Kenneth “Sarge” Straughter lives out his calling with humility, honor, and an unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
